Allahpundit is on the scene again, this time correcting the record concerning whether Governor Palin ever supported the teaching of “creationism” or other alternative theories to evolution in public schools.
I don’t know why Palin felt it necessary to walk such a fine line on this question. Oh wait, was it because she didn’t want to get the knuckle-dragger treatment that President George W. Bush and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee have gotten, even from some groups on the Right?
Look, I’m ready for the first journalist to ask Obama (or any liberal) the evolution question. Because, by my reading of it, there’s nothing in the constitution saying science education must relate only to “material” things, even when the material has clear implications for the spiritual.
