McCain Again Puts Country First

If Obama insists on a Friday debate, he should debate Biden. They can talk about coal, gun control, the vote on the Iraq war, inappropriate political ads, etc.

Update: Allahpundit weights pros and cons, but I think this is a no-brainer and will be seen by the public as such.  McCain’s day for foreign policy debate, one-on-one with his lightweight opponent from Chicago, will come sooner or later.  He’s asked for a postponement, not a cancellation.

This also plays right into McCain’s hands, since he was the one who wanted to take action a few years ago on Fannie and Freddie.  McCain is pulling a Clinton by appearing to undercut the Dems’ perceived strength on the economy.  Bush and McCain seek action to stop Wall Street from burning whilst the Dems all play the fiddle.
