You know, America, we could elect a presidential candidate on the merits, or we could follow the Kool-Aid drinking crowd at Daily Kos and vote for Obama over McCain because someone, somewhere yelled the “N” word.
Or, just maybe, they didn’t. Just like no one said “kill him.” But that didn’t stop the mainstream media from reporting it:
News organizations including ABC, The Associated Press, The Washington Monthly and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported the claim, with most attributing the allegations to the Times-Tribune story.
But unfounded claims of some random Republican voter are sufficient to make McCain guilty by association, whereas well-documented accounts of Obama’s many questionable past relationships, we’re told, should have nothing to do with this election.
Relevant (adj.) — bearing upon or connected with the matter in hand; pertinent: a relevant remark.
If anyone needs me, I’ll be in a room with four white walls . . . .
