An Al-Qaida Endorsement–Well, Sorta

By cackcon

This just in from Reuters:

An al Qaeda leader has called for President George W. Bush and the Republicans to be “humiliated,” without endorsing any party in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, according to a video posted on the Internet.

“O God, humiliate Bush and his party, O Lord of the Worlds, degrade and defy him,” Abu Yahya al-Libi said at the end of sermon marking the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr, in a video posted on the Internet.

Alright, which idiot at Reuters doesn’t consider praying for the humiliation of one party an endorsement of the opposing party?!

Once more, the enemy knows what’s in its best interests.  Sure, Obama’s the only presidential candidate dumb enough to proclaim that he’d send U.S. troops into the Pakistani mountains to catch Osama bin Laden.  However, with enormous cuts in defense spending likely to occur under a President Obama, what are we going to kill bin Laden with, a slingshot?

In other news, Iraqis are likely crossing their fingers for McCain.

H/T Drudge.

UPDATE: Allahpundit writes,

The Iraqis apparently understand global and regional politics better than Barack Obama. They certainly understand military strategy and tactics better than Obama.  They understand best of all what would have happened if Bush had followed Obama’s advice in 2007 rather than fighting the terrorists and securing Iraq.

A telling endorsement, indeed.  And contrary to the conventional wisdom of the mainstream media that the Iraqis want us out immediately.

SECOND UPDATE: Patrick Poole from the Pajamas crowd also weighs in.
