Think the Dems are serious about drilling for oil? Or is it more likely they pass another drilling ban once Obama, Pelosi & Reid (Oh My!) take power?
Well, if you had any doubts before about where Obama stands on energy issues, consider the following:
He warns new coal plants that they will face bankruptcy under his administration.
He also intends to make electricity more expensive (make that “skyrocket”) in order to make alternative energy sources viable.
So I’m sure he won’t pursue policies which also cause the price of oil to skyrocket, right? I mean, he doesn’t have it out for the American consumer at all, does he? Just like he doesn’t want to end free trade as we know it, or enact enormous tax hikes for business, corporations, capital gains, etc., right?
Obama is bad for business; he’s bad for consumers; and his presidency may very well be fatal for our nation.
Just electricity? Don’t tell me coal don’t matter!
UPDATE: Hot Air has posted video of Palin hitting Obama on coal. I’m kinda sad the story hadn’t broken a day before, so we could’ve heard these talking points for the first time at the rally in Raleigh.
SECOND UPDATE: So why did it take so long for these January comments to surface? I dunno, maybe because they were buried within Obama’s “depth” on energy issues, as Mark Steyn reports at NRO.
