Like the winner of an Academy Award, Barack Obama, the biggest celebrity ever to grace Capitol Hill with his presence, made certain to thank those who helped him get there: the media.
“It’s been a good long ride with all of you,” the Illinois senator said. “Whatever happens tomorrow (Tuesday) it’s going to be extraordinary and you guys have shared this process with us.”
He also acknowledged that there was “sometimes friction” between the campaign and the press. But most observers knew he was actually thinking of the gruelling interview he was given by Joe the Plumber.
UPDATE: No word on whether Obama took time to thank this guy, who apparently voted at the same precinct, along with Farrakhan.
